They've gone negative

We have made fantastic strides this election, person by person, getting the word out about our platform, our vision, and our hopes for moving Calgary  forward.

But here is a hard truth: our opponents have gone negative. Especially against me, personally.

Rather than set out their ideas and a vision for our city, they have resorted to personal attacks.

Let’s not kid ourselves, we saw this coming.

And we have planned for it, building the best grassroots volunteer and supporter organization that we possibly could. But we can only win if we have the resources we need to defeat misinformation.

Which is why I’m sending you this message to ask for your help. We cannot wait any longer to act. We cannot let our years of hard work be reversed in the end by an assault of negative advertising online, in print, on radio and television.

Here is how you can help.

  1. If you can, make a donation; Any contribution would help us tell even more Calgarians about our positive, future-focused campaign. For example, $30 today would go towards helping fund online advertising to set the record straight.

  2. This Thanksgiving weekend, tell your friends and family about why you are supporting our campaign.
  3. Understand how negative attacks work. Our campaign just released a Social Media Survival Guide to help you engage online in the midst of all the misinformation spread by trolls and bots.

Our campaign has never been about big money or special interests. It been about everyday people who want to make Calgary better for everyone.

Help us fight to keep Calgary moving forward!

Thanks for everything,
