Monday, October 18, 2010 is Election Day – 10:00am – 8:00pm

You can also call our office at 403-648-9060 if you need help finding your polling station, or if you or someone you know needs a ride to the polls. Our volunteers will be happy to assist.

 

Who Can Vote?

You must be a qualified elector (voter) to vote in the municipal election. That means on Election Day you must be:

  • at least 18 years old;
  • a Canadian citizen;
  • a resident of the city of Calgary; and
  • have resided in Alberta for six consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day.

If you are a first time voter, the City of Calgary has posted a special page just for you!

 

Identification is Required to Vote

Electors must produce one form of acceptable identification (Drivers License, Birth Certificate, Passport, Citizenship Card, Alberta Healthcare Card, and others – see list of acceptable identification) and sign a statement of eligibility before receiving ballots.
